Please report any trail problems promptly so that we can schedule the work to be done. Turn around time depends on something getting reported, scheduled, and prioritized. I think a common mis-conception is that riders think someone else must have reported it, but too many reports are always better than too few. And if more than one person reports something, it could result in the problem getting a higher priority. A few guidelines: Give the trail name if known. If you don't know the trail name, describe how you got to where the obstruction was. Indicate if the trail is blocked or if you can ride through. (Remember, you can't leave a trail to go around something, it violates your membership rules.) Describe the problem. If it is a tree, then how big around is it and is it across or along the trail? If it is a different type of problem, please describe it. Examples: bee nest, trail washed out, overhanging brush, etc. Give the date and approximate time you found the obstruction, so we can determine if we cleared it before your report came in. |
